Google acquires Instagram rival, Snapseed
Google has agreed to acquire Nik Software, the development company behind the popular photo editing app Snapseed. The search giant has picked up the German app developer for an undisclosed amount.

Siri to speak new languages?
A job listing on Apple’s website indicates that Siri, the iPhone and iPad’s voice controlled personal assistant, will be learning new languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Korean, Norwegian and Swedish.

Google updates its Blogger apps for Android, iOS; adds support for iPad
The most notable update that has been rolled out is the support for iPad. Now users can choose landscape mode to compose posts, share posts on Google+ and have the ability to view a scheduled post time. Google has added support for over 30 international languages.

Saavn adds English music to its catalogue, brings over 250,000 songs
The music streaming service has tied up with music labels such as Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group for this. Currently, the English songs are only available online and will reflect in the Saavn mobile apps in the days to come.

Microsoft Office for Android and iOS due in March 2013?
Word is that Office Mobile will first come to iOS, and will be in the form of individual apps that will allow the opening and viewing of documents only. For any kind of editing capabilities, an Office 365 subscription would be required and this subscription will be an in-app purchase.
